What a head spa actually is
A head spa is a treatment for the scalp, not a wash. It cleans what shampoo leaves behind, brings blood to the follicle, calms the client for an hour, and sends them out with hair that behaves differently for days. In Korea it is an ordinary part of a salon's menu; here it is still the service that makes a salon stand out.
It is also, plainly, good business: one room, one trained person, a treatment that is booked again and brings its own retail with it.
The ritual, step by step
1. Scalp analysis
A scan of the scalp and hair shows what we are working with: oil, dryness, flaking, sensitivity. The protocol is chosen from what the screen shows, not from habit.
2. Cleansing and detox
Filtered, softened water and a sparkling tablet matched to the scalp lift away sebum, product build-up and dead skin, and open the way for everything after.
3. Treatment
Serum, mask or booster, pushed in with steam or micromist so it reaches the follicle instead of sitting on the surface.
4. Massage and relaxation
Warm stones, herbal balls, cooling tools, essential oils. This is the part the client books again for.
5. Finishing
Eye mask, blanket, a dry and comfortable client. The treatment ends the way a spa treatment should.
